During his working trip to the Kherson region, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov has had an opportunity to make sure personally that the Ukrainian farmers can grow the high quality vegetables that exceeds even the European quality, the Cabinet press service reports.

"We have proved that we can grow vegetables better than in Europe, they have better quality. The expensive vegetable is the problem of the past time," Azarov said.

The Prime Minister noted that there is still much work to be done, including establishment of the developed logistic system of the vegetable supply chain: "The establishment of the logistic system has led to the significant reduction of retail prices. But it takes time to make a short chain from a producer to a buyer with minimal cost to dealers. It all will normalize and improve itself over time," he said.

"The farmers of the Kherson region have raised the problems of growth and development of the system," Azarov said, adding that the government is taking the concrete steps to solve these problems.
