The Prosecutor's General Office of Ukraine has received the decision of the Specialized Court on the case against former President Leonid Kuchma and sees no grounds to appeal further, GPO spokesperson Margarita Velkova informed.
"The Prosecutor's General Office of Ukraine has officially received the decision of the Specialized Court, which backs previous decisions of the Appeals Court and Pechersk District Court to close the case against Leonid Kuchma. The Specialized Court has also dismissed the PGO's cassational appeal to cancel the decision," the official said.
In this respect, the Prosecutor's General Office of Ukraine sees no legal grounds and juridical instruments to challenge this decision further, GPO press office stated.
