During Ukraine hosting Euro 2012, 298 foreigners addressed the police, the head of the public security department of Interior Ministry Serhiy Pohotov told a press conference today, ForUm correspondent reports.

"During the Euro 2012, the internal affairs bodies received 417 complaints, including 298 with the participation of foreigners or filed by them. It has been registered seven cases of robberies of foreigners, eight manifestations of hooliganism," he said.

According to Pohotov, during the Euro 2012 hosting, most violations occurred in the entertaining facilities and fan zones of the host cities. The safest place was the stadiums – not a single breach was registered there.

The total number of criminal cases initiated in the period of Euro is 45, 24 of which are already solved.

"15 criminal cases involving foreigners were initiated. The criminal cases against the fans were not initiated," he said.
