The law enforcement agencies received 17 anonymous messages about terrorist threats during the European Football Championship 2012, the head of the Antiterrorist Center of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), the first deputy head of the SSU, the deputy head of the Interagency Staff Petro Shatkovskyi said, as ForUm correspondent reports.

"We received messages about the alleged mining of the Euro 2012 infrastructure, fan zone and transport. There was one case on the alleged seizure of the aircraft on domestic routes. The identity of an anonymous tipster was established, and as for the motive - it was the conflict of business interests," Shatkovskyi said.

The head of the Antiterrorist Center of the Security Service also pointed that in most cases individual attackers were identified.

"Fortunately, all the reports were a false alarm," he said.
