The leader and the captain of Ukrainian team Andriy Shevchenko announced about ending his career in the national team after a third round match of group round of Euro 2012 with England.

"I want to thank all the fans here in Donetsk and throughout Ukraine, we would like to make them a gift, but unfortunately it did not happen. The guys did everything they could. Thank you all for the atmosphere that surrounded the team during the tournament. I am very pleased when stands welcome you, perhaps, it is the greatest gift in the career.  I'll play one last match, this will be my final match, probably some kind of a friendly one. I think it's time to make room for new young players "Shevchenko said.

In turn, the Ukrainian forward Andriy Voronin has also decided to end his career in the national team.

"I leave the team. I took this decision in advance, "he said.

"I decided to concentrate on the club career. I am not young enough to combine," Voronin said.
As a reminder, on June 19, Ukrainian team was defeated 1-0 by England in the last match of group round of Euro 2012 and dropped out of the tournament.
