Following the adoption of the Law on the access to public information, the number of queries to the government has increased by 110 times, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said, meeting the chairpersons of the government’s public councils, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to Azarov, the government is now working publicly.
"Currently, only the decisions relating to the national security issues are considered to be the confidential documents. We give 110 times more responses to the queries coming to us. Many of them are not of a global nature- for example queries about salaries, cars, place of residence of ministers. We always respond to them, but I hope that this wave will retreat," the Prime Minister said.
