The Russian Football Union was fined 120 thousand EUR for its fans behaving during the match in Warsaw. For this reason, the Russian national team may be fined 6 points at Euro 2016.

This decision was the reaction to the behavior of the Russian team fans, which threw on the fireballs and hung obscene banners during the Russia - Czech Republic group stage match of Euro 2012. The interior minister of Poland Jacek Chihotsky said that the Warsaw police arrested a Russian fan, suspected of an incident with a fireball in the Czech Republic-Russia match.

The conditional six-point fine will be valid until the end of the Euro 2016 qualification.

An appeal against the punishment may be filed within three days upon the date of publication of this decision.
