Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov and President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz continue an intensive dialogue to decide on candidates of independent, authoritative, internationally recognized lawyers, who will observe the consideration of a cassation appeal in the case of Yulia Tymoshenko, Head of Ukraine's Mission to the European Union Kostiantyn Yeliseyev said at a meeting of the European Parliament delegation on relations with Ukraine, which took place in Brussels on Wednesday, UKRINFORm reports.

"It is still too early to talk about specific individuals. But I want to assure you that there is a very intensive dialogue between the Ukrainian Prime Minister and President of the European Parliament on the issue. This interaction is productive, effective and constructive," Yeliseyev noted.

He said the Ukrainian side is interested in an independent, transparent and objective observation over the cassation appeal in the case of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.

As reported, on May 16, European Parliament President Schulz, during a meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Azarov in Brussels, took the initiative to send to Ukraine from the EU legislative body European doctors and lawyers to provide assistance to Tymoshenko.

In turn, the Ukrainian side said it was ready to contribute to the European Parliament's initiative to send to Ukraine European doctors and lawyers to provide assistance to former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, subject to observance of the national legislation.
