Next Monday the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is to consider the draft bill on cancellation of VAT for day trains, vice PM and minister for infrastructure Borys Kolesnikov told journalists, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to the official, within the next two weeks the parliament will introduce correspondent changes to the tax legislation.

"From the late June onwards the price for day train tickets will not include VAT, hence the tickets will be 16.6% cheaper. For example, the second class ticket on Kyiv-Kharkiv train will cost about 190 hryvnias," Kolesnikov specified.

The minister also informed that the government will hold a meeting with airline companies to discuss VAT cancellation for aviation fuel and for domestic flights.

"This week we will hold a meeting with airline companies and will sign a memorandum to ensure price reduction after cancellation of VAT," he said.
