Ukraine hopes for renewal of the cooperation with International Monetary Fund on "stand-by" program, Vice PM and minister for social policy Serhiy Tihipko told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to the official, the main obstacle for renewal of the crediting is Ukraine's dissent from IMF schedule of price rise for energy carries for the population.

"I have met the new head of IMF and we have discussed a number of issues, including the pension reform. For the moment we still have a problematic issue on tariff rise. We are not ready for the proposed schedule. We have alternative propositions, and their presentation will take place this week," he said.

The minister declared that government's principal position is that tariff increase should not hit the middle class. At the same time he added "it would be nice to resume the stand-by program."
