Ukraine ready to continue cooperation on the use of our strategic transport aircrafts in the process of withdrawal of the military mission from Afghanistan pursuant to the Memorandum between the Government of Ukraine and NATO Command, President Viktor Yanukovych said in his speech at the meeting of the Heads of State and Government of the Nations contributing to the ISAF in Chicago, presidential press office reports.
The President reminded that Ukraine decided to reinforce our military personnel working in Afghanistan with military aviation instructors in August this year. "I also confirm our readiness to join the Coalition of Committed Contributors initiated by Denmark, and make our contribution into this important mission," he said.
Recently, said Viktor Yanukovych, Ukraine has joined the Project on Counter-Narcotics Training of Afghan and Central Asian Personnel. "We consider this project important and promising, and plan to further expand our participation in it," he said.
