Ukraine continues efforts to diversify its energy supply sources, President Viktor Yanukovych told journalists in Moscow, ForUm learned from the presidential press office.
"These efforts have not stopped and will not stop. We were always looking for opportunities to diversify gas supply sources," he said. At the same time, Viktor Yanukovych added, Russia remains our main partner in terms of gas supplies.
Viktor Yanukovych noted that in order to find new sources of gas supplies, Ukraine is currently developing its energy relations with Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan, as our country is not satisfied with the price of Russian gas. "And it is quite a natural thing," Viktor Yanukovych said, adding that the availability of a number of suppliers would allow choosing the best option.
