Prime MInister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov admits that Kharkiv agreements with Russia in fact have not brought any gas price discount to Ukraine.
"In fact there was no discount, but the rent for stationing of Russian Black Sea Fleet...But still it was a respite," Azarov said at the conference "Ukraine-EU-what's the future?" in the European parliament.
As reported, on April 21, 2010 Presidents Yanukovych and Medvedev agreed on 30% gas price discount in exchange for prolongation of stationing term of Russian Black Sea Fleet for 25 years. Ukraine got 100 dollars discount for every thousand cu m of gas, purchased from Russia.
