The Implementation of the European Neighbourhood Policy in 2011. Progress Report Ukraine will take into account some negative trends that are currently of concern of the European side, a European Commission high-rank official told UKRINFORM.

The official noted that when considering the implementation of the European Neighbourhood Policy towards Ukraine, there some trends that are not positive, as for example, selective justice.

He noted that these and other problematic issues of concern of the European side will be covered in a report on Ukraine's progress in implementing the European Neighbourhood Policy and in a communique of the European Commission for the European Council and the European Parliament.

The European Commission's representative said the approval of a package of reports on the implementation of the European Neighbourhood Policy in 2011 will take place on May 15 in Brussels. The same day the documents will be presented by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton and EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Stefan Fule.

In addition to the communique of the European Commission and the report on Ukraine, there will be reports released on 11 other states that implement plans for the European Neighborhood Policy, as well as regional reports on the Eastern Partnership and Southern Mediterranean. "For the first time we have prepared and will present recommendations to the partner countries on the implementation of which they should focus over the next months of this year," said the representative of the European Commission.
