Signing of the Free Trade Zone Agreement between Ukraine and Turkey will significantly improve bilateral economic cooperation, speaker of Ukraine's parliament Volodymyr Lytvyn and the Chairman of the Committee for Foreign Affairs of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Volkan Bozkır agreed during their meeting on Monday, ForUm learned from the parliamentary press office.

The Parties believe that indicators of mutual goods turnover can increase to USD 20 billion in 2015 in comparison to USD 6 billion of last year.

Bozkir reminded that the third round of talks regarding preparation to sign the Agreement should be held in May, and the fourth - in September this year. "Both parties strive to achieve results as soon as possible," he said.

The Chairman of the Committee attaches great importance to the meeting of the Ukrainian-Turkish Committee for Trade and Economic Issues, which is to be held in Kyiv in May this year, as well as supports the expediency of holding the meeting of the Ukrainian-Turkish Business Council before the visit of the Turkish Prime Minister to Ukraine.

Both officials also stressed the necessity to extend cooperation in the energy sphere and transportation.

The parties are convinced that the Agreement on Visa Free Regime, coming intoforce soon, will extend tourist and economic cooperation.
