Anti-terrorism HQ, formed under the Security Service of Ukraine, will investigate and combat possible manifestations of terrorism during the period of Euro-2012, head of the anti-terrorism center Petro Shatkovski told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to the official, the anti-terrorism HQ was formed on decree of Ukraine's President for provision of international cooperation and coordination of security measures for the period of preparation and holding Euro-2012 final.

Shatkovski informed that the HQ staff would include not only Ukrainian experts. 24 representatives of law enforcement forces from all over the world have already been invited to join the operation. "Jointly with Ukrainian colleagues they will analyze information, estimate it and work out counteraction methods in case of danger," the official said.

Shatkovski also added that the Ukrainian anti-terrorism HQ is in constant contact with Polish colleagues. "At any time we can contact with similar HQ in Warsaw," he said.

In addition, Shatkovski informed that the formation of the anti-terrorism HQ cost Ukraine's budget 700 thousand hryvnias.
