Prosecutor's General Office of Ukraine will insist on extradition of former governor of Kkharkiv region Arsen Avkov from Italy to Ukraine, even if Italian court releases him from custody, spokesman of PGO Yuri Boichenko said.

"The decision on his release and replacement of the measure of restrain from arrest to written pledge not to leave, or home arrest or any other measure of restrain does not release Avakov from extradition. We will insist on his extradition to Ukraine continuously. The Italian court will decide on Avakov's extradition separately, after studying the materials presented by Ukraine's PGO to law enforcement bodies of Italy," PGO official said.
