Vice PM and Minister for infrastructure of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov has charged the State aviation service of Ukraine to work out changes to the legislation on air transport in accordance with European parliament initiatives regarding the combat against dishonest air carriers, ForUm learned from the press office of the Infrastructure Ministry.
The press office reminded that mass medias reported about approval of the European Parliament resolution extending rights of passengers of airline companies traveling to/from the EU countries. The document stipulates the implementation by the EU of common rules of hand luggage transportation and the list of airlines which will be prohibited to charge hidden fees for baggage.
In addition, in order to force air carriers to fulfill their obligations to passengers, the EU proposes to develop for air passengers a single complaint application in all European languages and to update the list of cases, liable for compensation.
