Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov believes that the government should support both state cattle breeding enterprises and private producers, he said opening today's session of the Cabinet, ForUm's correspondent reports.

Azarov added he disagrees with the position of the Agrarian Ministry on that only the big state cattle breeding enterprises should be subsidized by the state. According to the Premier, their growth rate is not big enough while private producers are able to grow faster.

The PM informed that as of today the cattle stock in Ukraine is 4.5 million heads, and at the same time he pointed out that it is six times less comparing to 1990.
