Foreign Ministry of Ukraine plans to introduce ID cards for representatives of foreign mass media for the period of Euro-2012 championship, spokesman of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry Oleksandr Dykusarov told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

The official reminded that due to amendments to the law on information, representatives of foreign mass media do not need accreditation of Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's press office.

However, according to Dykusarov, in connection with multiply requests by foreign mass media FM introduces a practice of ID cards. "Foreign journalists can get this card in the information policy department of the Foreign Ministry on a voluntary basis," he noted.

According to him, it may simplify their staying in our country. "Such ID card can help journalists during their stay in Ukraine. For example, if a journalists in not English speaking, the ID card will allow to identify the country and newspaper," Dykusarov summed up.
