By the end of 2012 a register of citizens needing dwelling must be created in Ukraine, deputy head of the parliamentary committee on housing and communal services Ihor Lysov said during the press conference 'Housing initiatives of the President', ForUm correspondent reports.

According to the official, the state is obliged to provide Ukrainians with dwelling. Lysov informed that for the moment the state builds 0.2 sq m of housing for a family annually.

In his turn, the chairman of the State fund on young housing construction Leonid Rysukhin noted that as of January 1, 2012 one million 130 thousand families need housing. "In order to define all nuances, like who really needs accommodation and who needs help to get it, we intend to create this register," he said.

In addition, according to Rysukhin, the state has implemented a program of beneficial crediting for young people under 35 years old. The state is ready to give credits for the period of 35 years. 60 million hryvnias have been allocated for this program in 2012, the official specified.
