Ukraine considers Indonesia as an important and promising partner in Southeast Asia, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said at a meeting with President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in Seoul, ForUm learned from the presidenial press office.
"We regard Indonesia as a promising partner in Southeast Asia and are ready to discuss our relations," said Viktor Yanukovych.
The parties called the Ukrainian-Indonesian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic and Technical Cooperation an important mechanism for deepening bilateral cooperation and pledged to intensify its work.
They have also discussed cooperation between Ukraine and Indonesia in the framework of international organizations, as well as military-technical, aerospace, and tourism cooperation.
Viktor Yanukovych invited his Indonesian colleague to visit Ukraine during EURO 2012. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono accepted the invitation and invited the President of Ukraine to visit Indonesia.
