Courts are now used in corporate raids, vice PM Valery Khoroshkovski told the 8th annual investment conference of Dragon Capital company, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Unfortunately, courts assist in corporate raids, and it is very difficult to prevent such situations, because out court system is independent," he said and gave an example, when this or that property of borrower is withdrawn from bank secured loans by court decisions. "We must work with the leadership of judiciary establishment and with judges," he added.
In addition, the vice PM noted that corruption worsens the investment climate of Ukraine. It is impossible to overcome corruption only with affords of the law enforcement bodies, the official said and added that the government's help and amendments to the legislation are needed as well.
