According to the estimations of the world report on counties' competitiveness, Ukraine's education systems holds 56th place, Education Minister Dmytro Tabachnyk told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

The Minister told that for two years the government's steps on reformation of the education system have brought Ukraine closer to the world's level of competitiveness.

Tabachnyk said that the given estimation was determined by 45 criteria. "It's nice to know that the world experts appreciate our education system more than one of Poland, which holds 62nd place, while Russia holds 78th place and Georgia  - 119th place," he said.

In addition, Tabachnyk mentioned the estimation made by head of UN committee on children's rights Jean Zermatten. "He estimated the quality of Ukraine's school education higher that the majority of education systems of European countries," the Minister said.
