President Viktor Yanukovych has instructed Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka to take steps to ensure full and impartial investigation into an infamous crime committed in Mykolayiv.
Upon completing the checkup, the Prosecutor General is to take immediate steps of response in accordance with the law.
According to investigators, on March 10, three men lured a 19-year-old girl into an apartment in Mykolayiv, raped her, and tried to strangle her and burn her body in an attempt to hide the traces of the crime. The girl survived and is now in the hospital in a very serious condition.
On March 11, the three men suspected of committing the crime were detained.
