The Supreme Court of Ukraine has returned for more consideration a criminal case opened against Judge of Kyiv's Pechersky District Court Serhiy Vovk for issuing unlawful rulings, in connection with new circumstances.

A respective decision was taken by Anatoliy Skotar, a judge of the chamber on criminal cases at the Supreme Court of Ukraine, UKRINFORM reported.

Thus, the court cancelled a ruling of the Holosiyivsky District Court of Kyiv and a ruling of Kyiv's Court of Appeal, which canceled and confirmed the validity of the cancellation of criminal proceedings against Judge Vovk.

The case will be considered again by the Holosiyivsky District Court of Kyiv.

Vovk was the presiding judge in a criminal case opened against former Ukrainian Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko.

On February 27, 2012, the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv found Lutsenko guilty of official crimes and sentenced him to four years in prison, with confiscation of his property.
