The majority of toys of poor quality in Ukraine are sold at markets, deputy chief of Ukrainian consumers' right protection service Mykola Dmitriyev told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to the expert, the state service has examined the quality of toys in the country, and in majority of cases the toys do not meet norms and put at risk children's health.

"Do not go to buy toys at markets. 90% of dangerous toys are being sold at markets," Dmitriyev assured and added that the presence of trade brand name in the net of children's supermarkets does not prove it is the same company. "As a rule, each several shop is registered as sole proprietor, following quite understandable goal," he explained.

The official also expressed a hope that the parliament would adopt a resolution, which permits to hold inspections of goods without prior notification of proprietors. "Inspections will be unexpected and irreversible," he said.

Dmitriyev also assured that the inspection of children's toys is a priority for the Ukrainian consumers' right protection service for this year.
