The State Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service of Ukraine has sent samples of Ukrainian cheese to foreign laboratories for expert examination for compliance with quality standards, Head of the agency Ivan Bisiuk told journalists.

"We simultaneously hold studies in laboratories of other countries. Last week we sent four samples," he said, UKRINFORM reports.

Bisiuk specified that samples were taken from products, made before the start of the current year by enterprises accused of adulteration by Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights. According to him, results of examination could be expected in the middle of March.

Answering a question about whether any actions or sanctions will be imposed by results of examination, Bisiuk said that those results, most likely, will be necessary to prove that laboratory examinations of dairy products quality are well done in Ukraine.

The State Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service of Ukraine continues examination of cheese made by local producers at own laboratories, and no vegetable oil was detected in all samples.
