The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will submit a draft bill on Ukraine's conversion to the second time zone, Emergency Situations Minister Viktor Baloha said during the Hour of questions to the government, being held in the parliament, ForUm correspondent reports.
"This is a well-thought decision of the government, which will be soon submitted for consideration by the parliament. In this session hall we must decide in what time zone to live," he noted.
According to Baloha, it would be perfect if Ukraine convert time together with European Union countries. "It would be perfect if we switch to summer and winter time synchronously with EU countries. That is why the government proposes to convert to daylight saving time in spring," the Minister said.
"I hope that the parliament will give more than two third of votes to set the second time zone to live in," Baloha summed up.
