The question of Ukraine's European integration should not be looked at through the lenses of the situation with Yulia Tymoshenko, President Viktor Yanukovych told journalists in Munich, speaking about one of the question brought up during his meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, ForUm learned from the presidential press office.

"We are committed to solve the problem [of Tymoshenko] but separate from such questions as international relations, European integration, or reforms in Ukraine," he said.

The President stressed that during the improvement of national legislation it is necessary to resolve the problems that had appeared during the Yulia Tymoshenko trial. According to him, in particular these are Articles 364 and 365 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Referring to the question of Yulia Tymoshenko’s custody conditions and her health, brought up by Hillary Clinton, Viktor Yanukovych stated that Ukraine “is not interested in any problems in this area." According to him, the Ukrainian side would gladly allow the examination or treatment of Yulia Tymoshenko by foreign doctors. "Germany and Canada have offered their services. We have nothing against that. Please, we would be grateful," said Viktor Yanukovych.
