Ukraine may be lifted from monitoring by the Council of Europe after the parliamentary elections, spokesman for Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Oleh Voloshyn said.
"We really want to get rid of this monitoring. If we hold elections at the proper level and settle the issue with Tymoshenko, we may expect lifting of the monitoring. This is such a humiliating procedure. We are always like students of the democratic countries," he said.
