State tax police reduced its staff by 205 in 2011, deputy chairman of the State Tax Service of Ukraine and head of the tax police Andriy Holovach said during a meeting of the department, ForUm reports.
"54 departments were closed down. Such changes first of all concern rural area and small town, where there is no big business. Hence 216 officials of the administrative chain and more than a thousand tax police officials on security, account and watch were dismissed. Operating officials were transferred to other departments," he noted.
Holovach also informed that last year the tax police started professional upgrade. "For now already 82% of executives have 10-15 years of experience," the official summed up.
