The opposition parties, which are members of the Dictatorship Resistance Committee, announced the signing of an agreement on joint actions on Ukraine's Unification Day on the Sofiyska Square in Kyiv on January 22.
"The political forces that cooperate in the Dictatorship Resistance Committee act as a united opposition and conduct joint actions at the national and local levels. They are agreeing on common political principles and approaches to be applied at the parliamentary elections in 2012 and are conducting coordination in order to ensure the preparations for and the holding of the fair elections of people's deputies of Ukraine," reads the document, UKRINFORM reports.
The opposition forces have also agreed to coordinate the activity of district election commissions and ensure their effective work on the creation of a common list of candidates for Ukrainian MPs, who are nominated from the united opposition for majority districts in line with the principle "one district - one candidate."
