For receiving expensive presents state officials face administrative responsibility and fines at the amount of 5-50 tax free minimal wages with confiscation of the given present, head of the department on fighting corruption Serhiy Yaremenko informed citing the law on "Prevention and counteraction of corruption."

"Within three days the information on violation must be put into the single state register of persons, committed corruptive crimes. Such register is under construction," the official added.

According to the law on "Prevention and counteraction of corruption", state officials have a right to receive presents, which meet the concept of hospitality and whose cost does not exceed 50% of minimal wage.

Yaremenko specified that for receiving expensive presents, which can influence the decision of an official, the law provides for a fine at the amount of 5-50 tax free minimal wages with confiscation of the given present. In addition, a state department, in which such violator works, must dismiss this official immediately.
