President Viktor Yanukovych of Ukraine intends to take part in the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos (Switzerland), focusing on energy issues, according to the press secretary of the head of state, Daria Chepak.

"The President of Ukraine is planning to participate in the World Economic Forum in Davos. The President will participate in the activities of the WEF Energy Summit, in particular, its sessions Energy for Economic Growth and New Energy Architecture: Possible and Effective Transformation, which will be held January 26 and 27," Chepak said, according to UKRINFORM.

She noted that the working visit includes bilateral meetings with leaders of countries and international organizations.

Yanukovych will also take part in the WEF plenary session Future of Eurasia and a traditional Ukrainian lunch conference.

This year's World Economic Forum in Davos will be held on January 25-29.
