Granting Yulia Tymoshenko's husband with the status of a refugee in Czech Republic does not have any political implications, spokesman of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry Oleksandr Dykusarov told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The situation with granting Yulia Tymoshenko's husband with the status of a refugee does not have any political implications, as Czech legislation does not have such norm as 'political asylum'," Dykusarov noted.
The official informed that Oleksandr Tymoshenko had indeed been granted with the status of a refugee and applied for it on his own will.
According to Dykusarov, Foreign Ministry of Ukraine hopes this situation will not affect the Ukrainian-Czech relations.
