Emergency Control Ministry states that the condition of the chemical waste burial places in Gorlovka, Donetsk region, and the concentration of contaminating substances in soil and underground waters can reach the level of emergency situation.
"In the second half of 2011 the state regional geological department "Donetkgeology" conducted examination of the soil and underground waters within the area of chemical waste burial places on the territory of Gorlovka chemical plant," the Ministry reported.
On January3, 2012, in accordance with the results of the examination, the city commission on ecological security and emergency control announced that the condition of the chemical waste burial places and the concentration of contaminating substances in soil and underground waters can reach the level of emergency situation.
