Ukraine welcomes Russia's decision to speed up the process of gas price negotiations, PM's press secretary Vitaly Lukianenko declared.
"Talks will proceed as planned, but if the Russian side wants to speed up the process Ukraine welcomes the decision," Lukianenko said.
He also informed that Ukraine welcomes the statement by Russian PM Vladimir Putin on that Ukrainian gas transportation system will be in demand amid rising gas consumption in Europe.
Lukianenko reminded that Ukraine stands for formation of three-sided consortium on managing Ukrainian gas transportation system with participation of Russian suppliers, Ukrainian transit route and European consumers.
As a reminder, Putin told Miller the talks to form the consortium should be continued as gas supplies through the Ukrainian gas transportation system will be in demand amid rising gas consumption in Europe.
