President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych declares he is personally concerned over protests actions held by Ukrainian citizens, he told the final press conference of the year, Forum correspondent reports.

"When people come out for protests it is not occasional. This is the result of mistakes and flaws in the work of authorities of all levels. It cuts me to the heart, and I believe it is unacceptable to perform experiments on people. We must foresee everything and leave nothing to chance," Yanukovych said.

At the same time the President noted that people should understand that the state is not able to pay off all social guarantees for the moment. "We have an old trunk we have to carry with us. These are the laws, adopted in different times under different circumstances, and the majority of them were of populist character," Yanukovych explained.
