Ukraine and Russia have not finished the gas talks yet, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said opening today's Cabinet session, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Yesterday we made the next step and held regular round of negotiations with Russian authorities," he said and added that many issues, including gas transit and creation of gas transportation consortium, are still at the stage of negotiations.

"We left in Moscow a group of experts headed by Energy Minister Yuri Boiko and Justice Minister Oleksandr Lavrynovych. They are supposed to agree on the questions and formula of the new agreement," Azarov informed and noted that the process of negotiations is very hard. "If the talks are finished in the nearest future I propose to call a special session of the government," the PM added underlining that if the gas price is changed the budget for 2012 should be revised.
