Thanks to Ukrainian-Belarusian cooperation the oil pipeline "Odesa-Brody" has been launched in direct mode, vice PM of Belarus Vladimir Semashko told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
Semashko informed that the sides had already signed an agreement on delivery of four million tons of oil. "The agreement provides for a principle 'take or pay', when the Belarusian side must pay for the agreed volumes, even if we has not taken them all," Semashko explained.
As reported, in January 2011 Ukrainian and Belarusian companies signed an agreement on guaranteed transit of four million tons of oil through Ukrainian oil transportation system, using Odesa-Brody oil pipeline.
