Chairman of the State inspection on consumer's rights Serhiy Orekhov has informed that according to the results of the inspection held January-November 2011, every second toy in Ukraine does meet quality standards, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to Orekhov, 100 thousand toys were selected for examination, and the results showed that 55% of them do not meet the quality standards. "It means every second toy," the official specified.

In addition, he has informed that the State inspection is holding examinations of New Year toys, the results of which will be announced at the end of the year or at the beginning of the next one.

Earlier today the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov charged vice PM Andriy Kliuyev with urgent preparation of amendments to the legislation for ensuring qualitative products on Ukrainian market.
