Due to court examinations between two supplies of medicine, Ukrainians sick with AIDS can be left without medications, deputy health minister of Ukraine Galyna Kalyshenko told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

She explained that the tender for purchasing medicines against AIDS was won by the enterprise "Ludmila-Farm". According to Kalyshenko, the offered price of this firm allows to save about 17 million hryvnias. "But the firm 'Starwise Farm', which was not allowed to take part in the tender, used the violations of the tender's conditions to challenge the results in court. Kyiv Economic Court decreed to forbid purchasing medicine from the winner," the deputy minister said.

"Now we are appealing this decision. But if the court doesn't take our side by the end of the year, it would be impossible to buy medicine, and as a result ten thousand of patients will be left without medications," Kalyshenko said.
