External auditors will investigate what the money, allocated for Chernobyl projects for the last 15 years, has been spent for. The inspection is initiated by the international public coordinating Chernobyl council.
The chairman of the organization Yuri Bandazhevski informed that a corresponding letter has been sent to the European Parliament. The organization in especially interested in expenditure of means, allocated for Chernobyl projects to be carried out in Ivankovo village, where the community does not even know about such programs.
As of the end of 2010 EU countries allocated more than 400 million euro for various Chernobyl projects.
