President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych appreciates the European Parliament Resolution on Ukraine of December 1, 2011, particularly its provision on initialing the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU by the end of 2011, he told journalists in Jerusalem, ForUm learned from the presidential press office.
"This is certainly good news for Ukraine. It is important that it [the Resolution] reflects the prospect of Ukraine’s membership pursuant to the Lisbon Treaty, points to the problems that are in Ukraine. We know them well and we are working to solve them as soon as possible," said Viktor Yanukovych.
