Former Ukrainian PM Yulia Tymoshenko has been moved to another prison cell, similar to her previous one, Tymoshenko's lawyer Serhiy Vlasenko informed.
"Today Tymoshenko was urgently moved to another prison cell. The reasons are unknown," he told journalists after visiting Tymoshenko in a pre-trial detention center on Friday, according to Tymoshenko's official website.
“I happened to learn that representatives of the European anti-torture committee are currently working with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the next week this committee will be working with the Penitentiary Service of Ukraine,” said Vlasenko. “Maybe these events are related.”
Vlasenko suggested that Yulia Tymoshenko was moved because of the action planned on her birthday this Sunday, November 27. “She was moved to a cell deep inside the prison so that, God forbid, she doesn't hear the people that will come to deliver birthday greetings,” he said.
