From December of this year the tourists' visits to Chernobyl zone will be reopened, chairman of the State agency on alienation zone control Volodymyr Holoha told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

"The Emergency Ministry issued a corresponding decree, and law enforcement bodies approved it. On December 2 the decree will be published and come into force," he said.

Holosha noted that the visiting rules had been toughened. According to him, an application for visit must be submitted 10 days before the actual visit with a number of documents, including citizenship, place of living, goal, time and date of the visit and medical certificate. An applicant will also have to name the objects for visit and specify the amount of information he wants to acquaint with.

"The state agency will consider the application, and if there are no claims, the application will be signed and a visiting program will be made," Holosha said

Among the possible reasons to deny a visit Holosha named minority, incomplete or false information, unfavorable weather conditions, emergency situationы or suspicions of terrorist activity.
