Light and musical fountain will be installed in the downtown Kyiv on Krasnoarmiyska Street, chairman of Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) Oleksandr Popov said, according to UKRINFORM.
He noted that in winter the fountain will be out of service, and in the beginning of spring it will be open to people of Kyiv and visitors. The authorities also plan to reconstruct the park, where the fountain will be located.
In 2012 Kyiv City State Administration intends to earmark UAH 160 million (USD 1 - UAH 7.98) for planting of greenery in the city. Kyiv authorities also hope to return in 2012 to the city 2,000 hectares of green area, and allocate lands at the Peoples' Friendship Park for the embassies to develop a garden of their country.
