The new scenario of talks between Ukraine and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) under the Stand-By Arrangement will be ready in November 2011, Vitaliy Lukyanenko, the spokesman for Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, told UKRINFORM, commenting on Ukraine's position after the next round of talks held in Kyiv and Washington.

"A pause has currently been taken to clarify two important factors. They will be clarified in November, and it will be possible to continue the dialogue under a new scenario," Lukyanenko said.

The factors determining the current scenario of the negotiations concern the resolution of the debt problem in the European Union and the completion of talks between Ukraine and Russia on the gas price, he said.

As reported, during another assessment of the program of cooperation between Ukraine and the IMF, the parties managed to reach understanding on almost all issues. Such an assessment to the process was given by Azarov.

"We agreed that after the completion of negotiations with Russia, in particular, on the price of gas and other conditions, we would start working closely with a mission from the International Monetary Fund in order to adjust our cooperation program for 2012," he said.

The IMF mission was in Kyiv from October 25 to November 3. Progress has been made on economic policies to complete the second review under the Stand-By Arrangement.
