President Viktor Yanukovych urges Chernivtsi
region local authorities to prepare for a local government reform, he
said during today’s meeting with the administrative and economic
leadership of the region.
"In the near future we will begin a reform to
decentralize power and transfer functions to the regions. You
must be ready for this, both morally and in terms
of staff training," Viktor Yanukovych said, addressing those
present at the meeting, ForUm learned from the presidential press office.
The President stressed that he would like to study a program of
social-economic development of Chernivtsi region until
2015, which has not been yet submitted to him.
Viktor Yanukovych also urged the region’s local
government to develop a program of investment projects for the
region.
